Client Objectives
NHS Employers approached us to develop a new careers website that offered advice for medical students and doctors in training across the UK. The aim was to create a site with an appealing yet professional feel and to provide a structured way for users to choose their professional specialty.
Our Solution
We recommended Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) as the content management system because of the future-proof, simple, familiar, and consistent user experience it offers as well as its best-practice Web Content Management capabilities. The site is designed for use over a four year period and will be revisited many times as students become more focused in choice of specialisation.
Successes and Achievements
Using Human Centred Design methodology, which focuses on usability and accessibility, we accurately reconciled the needs of site visitors with NHS Employers' own business priorities for information delivery, service provision and accessibility. The site is functional, engaging and visually appealing.
